Redesign for Sabin Rene Figaro from Final Fantasy VI.
Sketches. For Sabin I decided to stick very close to the original Yoshitaka Amano design for the clothing elements. Working from that point to tie in to the other characters.
For the iterations the biggest goal was to make him coherent with Edgar, showing the same origins, but adapting to his chosen way of life. For that, I decided to apply similar elements, such as the triangle detailing, and to keep their color palette close, but differing in warm/cold temperatures.
